AWAKENING Worship Night is going to be this weekend in the church's auditorium at 6pm.
This "Awakening" event is a process that lasts roughly an hour. During this time a christian band from Manhattan Christian College will come up to Highland to lead us in contemporary worship songs with breaks in between songs for prayer and meditation. This will act as this week's combined youth and college groups' meeting, but we also invite and welcome youth, families, singles, everyone to come to have this be a very defining moment in our lives in terms of worship and what it really means to praise God for our whole congregation.
A meal will be served afterwards because of the appetite we will fix up from worshipping God.
Description: The P.J. stands for: Praise Jesus in your Pajamas. The Lock in is open to 6th graders through Seniors in High School. We will have awesomely safe games and activities for everyone to have a great time. Everyone will be placed into small groups based on their age so that the night can be spent with peers. There will be a couple of lessons and a time of praise & worship. Middle Schoolers need to bring a sleeping bag in case they get tired (2am will be curfew for them). Everyone needs to bring a Bible and leave their cell phones at home please!
